In entertainment news Maria Shriver has been violating a law that hubby and also California Governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger supported and signed into law last year-namely talking on her cell phone while driving.

I know everybody does it, it is definitely dangerous, particularly texting, but it is her lame response that I want to comment on.

This is it: "I'm sorry. I will be donating my favorite old cell phone to my Women's Conference partner Verizon through their HopeLine program that helps domestic violence shelters.

I invite anyone else who wants to recycle their old phone to join me.

That's my version of swift action with a higher purpose."

Does this say she is going to stop (being photographed at least) talking on her cell phone while driving? It doesn't sound like it to me. In entertainment news about those special people it sounds like she considers above the law.

Donate her "favorite old" cell phone to charity. Huh?? What about the current one she is using? This has nothing to do with her violation of the law her husband supported.  It is not even stupid fluff!

I can hear Arnold now talking to his wife," Now Maria you know I am governor of Kaleefornia...it doesn't look so good for you to be openly caught breaking the law."

"Oh Arnold go back to working on your bankrupt state, I'll take care of it. Let them eat cake darling...I'll toss them an old phone and donate it to a domestic abuse shelter."

"Huh? What?"

Only in the lives of celebrities in entertainment news would this make only the slightest bit of sense! Try again Maria!
